A Backyard Built for Sports and Play

This Las Vegas backyard already had a pool, mature palm trees, and a large playset. The goal was to connect everything and create more room for the family to play, practice, and enjoy being outside.

The transformation started with major removal and grading. Our team removed the existing grass, trees, stumps, bamboo, boulders, flagstone, rock, and portions of the old retaining wall. The abandoned riverbed was filled and graded to create a smooth, usable foundation for the new layout.

We installed 1,500 square feet of premium Viridian Green artificial turf throughout the backyard. The turf now connects the pool, playset, patio, and sports areas while creating a clean surface that requires less water and maintenance. Our crew carefully moved the large playset during construction and positioned it back over the completed turf.

A new 25 by 27 foot concrete pad was installed for the family’s basketball setup. The four inch concrete pad includes a broom finish and a dedicated footing ready for the basketball hoop. We also shaped and compacted a pitching mound with a 45 foot throwing distance to the Bottle Tree.

The existing irrigation system was adjusted to fit the new landscape. Netafim drip irrigation was installed around the palm trees, unused lines were capped, and new hard pipe was placed beneath the turf. A new hose bib was also added for convenient outdoor water access.

The completed backyard brings together the pool, playset, basketball area, pitching space, and artificial turf into one connected family environment. It is now a yard built for swimming, sports, practice, and memories.
